The Prefabrication Process:
Design and Engineering: Based on the client's requirements, architects and engineers
develop a customized design for the steel space frame structure.
This includes determining the optimal geometry, member sizes,
connections, and bracing systems to ensure structural stability,
efficiency, and compatibility with the intended use of the
building.
Fabrication: Once the design is finalized, the steel space frame components are
precision-manufactured off-site in a controlled factory
environment. This involves cutting, drilling, welding, and
finishing the steel members according to the specified dimensions
and tolerances.
Quality Control: Each component undergoes rigorous quality checks to verify
compliance with design specifications, industry standards (e.g.,
AISC, AISI), and any applicable certifications (e.g., ISO, CE).
Assembly and Packaging: Prefabricated steel space frames are typically assembled into
larger modules or sections, which are then disassembled, carefully
labeled, and packaged for transportation to the construction site.
On-Site Erection: The prefabricated components are delivered to the site, where they
are reassembled using cranes and specialized equipment. The process
is faster and more efficient than traditional on-site construction,
minimizing disruptions and allowing for rapid completion of the
building envelope.
